Ho-hum

No pictures today. Can't think of a thing to shoot.
I'd like to do portraits of the people I see...

can't do that without the rigmarole of asking.
Just sitting in a Starbucks waiting on company.

I'd like to say to Brittany here that I like her.
I'd like to say, "Were I younger I'd ask you out."
It's all too awkward - nothing new here, eh?
Going to be a quiet Saturday... think I'll read.

I recently sent for all of Ernest Hemingway.
Except Old Man and the Sea, which I've read.
Started The Sun Also Rises, but can't "get into it".
Will have a look at A Movable Feast today.

Avis luckus

Went to Phoenix College to take some shots. Caught a bird in flight.
Contemplate taking a digital photography class. Expensive proposition.

Cravings

After Bible (Hebrews 11) study, went over to Tiffany's for coffee. Quiet.
In between a stop at the Indian School Park for some shots. Good ones.
She's not here and I wonder: if one "likes" her page whether she sees yours?
At any rate, processed the photos and looked forward to Facebook interaction.

Lancaster!

IT WAS COMPLIMENTED
AND I'M PLEASED, YES.

BUT NO, NO ONE TO SHARE
IT WITH AT THE MOMENT.

SOMEWHERE BETWEEN, I'M
BEING VERY PATIENT, YOU SEE.

Up Against the Wall

Swiped from Venice. The Biennale. The Encyclopedic Palace. Nice.
I'd like to finish my kitchen; could have done a better job on the tiles!

Camped out at the Bethany Starbuck's, there's a woman sitting in front of me wearing a tank top. A brassiere underneath, I wonder whether I should approach her and tell her that her bra straps are showing. Looks awfully gauche. No, don't think I'll do that.

Brittany, who was here early yesterday, is not this morning. Got here at dawn. D-Day. Had this "go for broke" attitude, that I'd slip her a note asking her to dinner... with a proviso. I'd get my weight down to 250 pounds, then we'd dine - I've got a bottle of Chianti waiting on such an event. Go get Italian. Someplace where they'll uncork the bottle - for a fee, of course.

Have to set an agenda for the day. Think I'll do a full workout.(Ugh!) Then visit the other coffee houses. I'd like to take some pictures. Maybe the rose garden in Encanto Park. For now, it's a "hang out" waiting on the traffic to pass and maybe Brittany will show up. I'm also waiting on responses from Facebook. Made posts relative to D-Day; that they will "relate" or not is problematic. So far not a peep.

Problematic too as to how many coffees I will (or should) have. Should limit it to two.

Turns out I've had two at Starbuck's. Will have one at Citizen Bar. Pulling out now.

Went to Encanto Park rose garden and took some shots to post on Facebook. They turned out well. Processed them at Citizen's. Also checked out photography classes at Phoenix College - the key one is too late in the day; it conflicts with job schedule. Maybe in the Fall. Meanwhile, I can do my best to master the camera I've got per instructions.

Also, relative to Dr. Swaminathan, checked out Nathan the Prophet. 2 Samuel 7:3;

Go, do all that is in thy heart; for the LORD is with thee.

His
instruction to David. I'm going to take it to heart an proceed accordingly. Keep on praying and watch my step. Keep on moving and hope for the best. Keep on keeping the law as best I can too. That's so funny... I should tell Warren I've been good for thirty years. It's about time he related to me as a peer, if not as his, ahem, superior. Goodness gracious, I should think I'm entitled to pull rank. If I choose to.

Well, wrapping things up at the Citizen Bar. Headed for a workout, then work. NBA finals start this evening, and the DBacks are playing the Cardinals. We go to game Saturday. Giants are in town. (I pray it will not be a fiasco.) We should be OK.

Fearless

One of the feral cats inhabiting the back alley and yards.
Was probably born on my patio. Looks right at home.

Am off soon from coffee for workout, then shrink. Ho-hum.
Shall I tell her all that's been happening the past four months?
I don't think so. Am I crazy? Not really. Things drive me nuts.
I'll just tell her I've been winging it; taking those things day by day.

This cat wouldn't be here if Eula were still on alert. Miss her.
No time for another dog - and none for stuck up women neither.

New Day

All the women I've been thinking of have passed away this morning. OK already.
I'm just all alone; no problem. Am listening to this. She's out there somewhere.

Presently at Citizen's Espresso (not Coffee!!!) Bar. Blonde across the way.
Have to get prepared to get to work. Get focused. Get relaxed. Get going.

Taught a Bible study session this morning on Hebrews 10.
Be confident in the Faith, encourage others, do good for all.

Get done with work, get down to the pub for NBA semi-final.
I'm picking the Pacers over the Heat. We'll see. With Tommy.

One Last Puff?

It's good to have a woman. One doesn't need to wander, nor do you want to get involved with anyone else. God knows I was faithful to Bonanno. How do I tell Brittany that, as far as "relationships" are concerned, I'm still twenty-five in my mind. That's about where I left off with that fiasco. There's just no protocol for a casual conversation. Too bad.

But it's all too much... for her, I'm sure, and for me. Think I'll let it go. Quit smoking.

Make the Flora

Are these petunias? (Have to ask Dave tomorrow.) Pretty sure they are.

After a workout, moved the show to Citizen's Coffee. Nice place.
They just have a problem with the coffee grinder... much too loud.
Otherwise, good to be here and looking forward to church tomorrow.

Went shopping for a bolo tie on 7th Avenue. No luck. No deals.

Think I'll go to the Glendale stores and hope for the best.
Would like to have one for church to accompany new shirt.

Not that big a deal. Just a thought. Don't want to overdress.

Bright and Early

She's here.
Brittany is here.

I'm going to have to take a special picture for the blog entry. I'd like it to be the one of the photo of Starbuck's #1 in Seattle. But maybe something on the patio. We'll see.

A smoking prohibition begins today per corporate. No longer can one smoke on the patio. Have to step into the parking lot for a break in the action. It's going to get intense. (There was just a great tune with a clarinet and a lady singer going octaves above soprano. Just now a saxophone instrumental of Hey Joe.) I'm going to have to play this very cool and smart. She's very busy and who know's her circumstance; she wears no ring. Surmise she doesn't smoke.

The first thing is to correct the beaux comment to belle. That should be perfect.

Oh my... she smokes. Not only am I too old for her, but I have to quit. Drat! Blast!!!
