Get Fixed

While putting my boots on. Bit of a struggle. Socks moreso. But got it done and luckily had camera alongside. Papago Park. Merely a stroll a couple of weeks ago. Am ready for more but that's contingent on chiropractic visit tomorrow. First one presently; will get 'worked up' and, hopefully an adjustment on the road to resolving. Feels out of kilter, for sure. No pain. Tight. Fatigues quickly. Lumbar  and sacral plexus. No activity during COVID quarantine and close to home in easy chair 18 months. Back at it about two. Dropped near 50 pounds.

Feeling good. Yes, high hope for fixing, then another walk in a park. Made a point to lose as much of the gut as possible with hydrotherapy. Range of motion. Some little treadmill but uncomfortable. Sometimes, compensating and recovering balance, my gait is wobbly. Will get that straightened out directly!M

Meanwhile, good to post this and expect more pictures with increased activity.

Minding My Own Business

Spectacular. Soon to bed after. Up and at it presently. 4 am and uncomfortable. At Denny's. No hospitality and only drunks about. Nowhere. But this is something. It's over. Who cares?

I'm going back to bed. Reading this. A slog. Waiting for someone, anyone to relate it to. Never happened.

.....

Another good sleep. Up and crosstown. Amused at pretentions. What to do? At Panera, Central and Thomas. Hoping always... perhaps run into someone I know. We'll see an understatement.

Poingent exchange with pastor, who had mentioned Doris Day.

"Que sera, sera but watch where you're going." General aggreement.

Legendary People

I have to finish this. We're covering Colossians in Bible study on Sundays. Deeply reading it presently. A prison letter. Paul sends greetings from Luke and Demas. I met a Demas at the gym. Russian fellow who recently became U.S. citizen. More chat upcoming. May be someone I could ask to church but really am curious about whether he is Orthodox. Could be Georgian.

More comments forthcoming upon this letter. Right now, in transit.

.....

OK. Disappointed! Said hello to Demas who was not very friendly. Nonetheless, mean to memorize Colossians. I'd love to record Proverbs. And the Sonnets.

I've a microphone attachment I've never opened out of the package. After getting the Fall cleaning done, I may sit down.πŸ˜†All sorts of things are turning up. My Audubon Southwestern Field Guide! There was something else but I've forgotten already.

This picture presents legend of Luke painting the first Christian icon ever. It was also said that he was attending when Mary passed. Subsequent argumentation about Mother of God and such. Can get out of hand. A penchant for extrapolation, shall we say? May I? πŸ˜‡

Walk It Off

H
ad a startle in Bible study this evening. I had not read the lesson before. John 1 and engaging in discipleship. When I did during, amused to see Jesus ask, "What are you looking for?" as if He knows they're looking for the reputed Messiah and come with me and we'll show them. A stretch but runs right into a crunch.

Luke 9:3. "And He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, neither a staff, nor a bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not even have two tunics." How obsessed I get about all the items in the daily walking (Driving!) round kit, the primary one walking round money. Then keys, licence and communicator. Etc. understatement.

Can I do it. I have so much stuff to clear out. Made proposition to pastor concerning visits to homebound and hospitalized people. Hope to house in order by Christmas. Yes, I aim to have a nice one. Then, decisions about exterior and move back to Oregon.

Here a great shot of one of the purveyors of good bread. Should I? Under the regime of this discipline? Well, the Apostle Paul follows up. Work up an appetite. Deserve. My Facebook post follows a different tack. True story. Proustian?

"My first trip away from home when 14. Someone gave my father ducats to Army-Navy Game. 1966. A classmate, a Scout, came along with me to Port Authority to Arch Street, then old JFK Stadium. Great game.

Went directly home after laughing about the girls only going for uniforms. We wouldn't know what to do anyway. No problems. No scares. Fabulous. Home safe."
