Can Be Done

Another wall, but this is easily scaled - not.

Maybe thirty years ago. Yeah, free climbed.
Feeling old and out of it, I'm afraid. Blah.
Think that's why comments about social life.
When working, never got to me; always busy.

Au-dessus faciles

Mon père a intercédé.

West Mex.

"Monsieur, comment dit-on 'hash slinger' en français?"
"Hachist, mon brave homme."

The moon shot is cancelled.
Somewhat overcast. Perhaps tomorrow.
That sounds familiar... all systems go... not.

Quite a night. Moon night. Enraptured.

1969. We watched. Partied. It may have

been a profound moment but the yobs
found the precise way to celebrate; from
apartment window - mooned the street.

We beseech youse...

As I struggle with mine grammar...
am reminded of this splendid book.

Hilarious. Think I've mentioned it before. I try to minimize the statements and keep the descriptions simple. I'd like, sometimes, to say more but privacy and propriety have to be paramount. That's difficult when complaining about relationships or the lack thereby and thereof.

Striving to keep it all logical and sensible helps. Sometimes, however, I do wonder whether doing this exacerbates the issues broached, many of which are irresolvable on account of estrangement.

Have got to at once 'get a grip' while maintaining a sense of humor confronted with "Get a life." Now that's a good one; the parenthetic quip is a slogan therefore a comma is not indicated as it would be if it were a statement. Or something like that... right? LOL

I use the single parenthesis usually for such or for emphasis -- or snarking. But not regulation, as far as I know, dog. And I am trying to keep living for something's gotta give. And it's OK to start a sentence with the otherwise conjunctive 'and'... I've checked; can't recollect exactly. I believe it was some British guide along the lines of Oxbridge. Whatever, as the girls do proclaim.

Dialectical

As I was doing my pictures, I took note of two women talking on the patio of the coffee place. I must have worked about three hours and during all that time they spoke back and forth. Amazing. I've no idea as to the nature of their relationship; that's ingermane to what I noticed or, by way of comparision, what I'm starved of. They seemed to be talking with each other.

When I talk to women they seem to talk at you and don't listen, some of them going on and on associating their thoughts from one thing to the next. Others are simply competitive. In both cases, one way yadda. They usually only talk about themselves or their relations. Rarely about a subject. More often than not you get the impression that everything is sexualized and they insult your sensibility. They wear masks and have to keep up their act.

With men, it's pathetic. At least with the sort of guys I usually encounter; like the fellow mentioned with regard to the terror attack in Manhattan. You don't want to insult their intelligence due to a different knowledge base and most of them only know what they need towards making a living. I've got it made. You can't say that either. Nothing but walls.

Lost Treasure

I like this gouache effect a lot. The app is only available on Android or Kindle so, unless one does a file conversion (which I don't like to mess with) for Windows, you've got to go back and forth between them and the laptop where I prefer to compose these posts. (It is a nuisance doing it on the smaller screens with all the formatting you've got to do, not to mention the links and loads.) Fotosketcher is what I usually work with; it's got a like effect but not quite as dramatic.

This is Fotosketched. Slight watercolor. Softens the texture somewhat.

When I do these florals, I'm ever reminded of the first color 'study' I did with an SLR... rhododendrons. Specifically, dewdrops on them. There was a garden in Portland near Reed College I'd go to. Nice little lake and acres of rhododendrons, which love the wet climate. If you got there of the early morning, more often than not, plenty dew.

Great shots per plant colorations but the iridescence, the teeny rainbows in the water under the slanting morning sunlight at the right angle, was boffo. Sorry to say I don't know where the negatives, the proofs or the prints are. I left boxes of stuff at a couple of locations not thinking about the value at the time, that sort of thing. Wish I had them now.

It came to me to go to the community garden on Central between Camelback and Indian School. I've been here several times and this is not exactly the right time for the roses. Time for pruning, actually, as the blooms are mostly done. Took a bunch of shots. Working on them presently. Pictures here are as is without tweaks.

As soon as I began my walk I saw this hummer. Went to readjust camera... gone.

I like this and would love to do similar for my place but law of diminishing returns applies. It's not a home but merely a bivouac. I just go there to eat, read and sleep. My pride of ownership diminished years ago after doing my best to fix it up and maintain. For what? All the work I put into it... for nothing, for no one.

As I was shooting something else, I heard a very loud gaggle above. All I could do to refocus and get this as they passed by and away. Headed to the water at Steele Park across Central, I presume. I can't wait to see what I can do with this in the artsy apps.

Thought about going to the park but didn't, heading for a Wi-Fi location. I've only got 5 GB to utilize on my phone account, so that's the rationale for going to the coffee places. I do like to get out (as mentioned) too. Always hope to see a familiar face. On the way, traveling east on Missouri, the waxing moon was rising over a glowing Camelback Mountain. There were no vantages. I stopped at a couple of office buildings toward elevation but, as it was after 5 pm, security issues presented. The best I could do wasn't high enough - utility cables intruded.

Although I know there is a clear shot on the Biltmore plat, decided to boogie up to 32nd and Lincoln where there was a bit more elevation. Well, the traffic held me up and the light diminished. Not only that (slap me noggin') but the moon, just in that 1.5 mile difference, migrated out of the frame. Go figure! Anyway, I know where I'm going tomorrow - the Abrazo OP. Have to find my tripod!
