It came to me to go to the community garden on Central between Camelback and Indian School. I've been here several times and this is not exactly the right time for the roses. Time for pruning, actually, as the blooms are mostly done. Took a bunch of shots. Working on them presently. Pictures here are as is without tweaks.

As soon as I began my walk I saw this hummer. Went to readjust camera... gone.

I like this and would love to do similar for my place but law of diminishing returns applies. It's not a home but merely a bivouac. I just go there to eat, read and sleep. My pride of ownership diminished years ago after doing my best to fix it up and maintain. For what? All the work I put into it... for nothing, for no one.

As I was shooting something else, I heard a very loud gaggle above. All I could do to refocus and get this as they passed by and away. Headed to the water at Steele Park across Central, I presume. I can't wait to see what I can do with this in the artsy apps.

Thought about going to the park but didn't, heading for a Wi-Fi location. I've only got 5 GB to utilize on my phone account, so that's the rationale for going to the coffee places. I do like to get out (as mentioned) too. Always hope to see a familiar face. On the way, traveling east on Missouri, the waxing moon was rising over a glowing Camelback Mountain. There were no vantages. I stopped at a couple of office buildings toward elevation but, as it was after 5 pm, security issues presented. The best I could do wasn't high enough - utility cables intruded.

Although I know there is a clear shot on the Biltmore plat, decided to boogie up to 32nd and Lincoln where there was a bit more elevation. Well, the traffic held me up and the light diminished. Not only that (slap me noggin') but the moon, just in that 1.5 mile difference, migrated out of the frame. Go figure! Anyway, I know where I'm going tomorrow - the Abrazo OP. Have to find my tripod!
