I like this gouache effect a lot. The app is only available on Android or Kindle so, unless one does a file conversion (which I don't like to mess with) for Windows, you've got to go back and forth between them and the laptop where I prefer to compose these posts. (It is a nuisance doing it on the smaller screens with all the formatting you've got to do, not to mention the links and loads.) Fotosketcher is what I usually work with; it's got a like effect but not quite as dramatic.
This is Fotosketched. Slight watercolor. Softens the texture somewhat.
When I do these florals, I'm ever reminded of the first color 'study' I did with an SLR... rhododendrons. Specifically, dewdrops on them. There was a garden in Portland near Reed College I'd go to. Nice little lake and acres of rhododendrons, which love the wet climate. If you got there of the early morning, more often than not, plenty dew.
Great shots per plant colorations but the iridescence, the teeny rainbows in the water under the slanting morning sunlight at the right angle, was boffo. Sorry to say I don't know where the negatives, the proofs or the prints are. I left boxes of stuff at a couple of locations not thinking about the value at the time, that sort of thing. Wish I had them now.
