Low Society

Time for the obligatory counter to double standards, gross discrimination and reprehensible injustice. What a case!

You be the judge; when a female, without any cause or context (out of the blue, as it were) makes the comment: "I like pornography." before two males placidly conversing otherwise, is that sexual harrasment? I should think so. It was an embarrassing moment. Nonplussed, after she left the scene, I said to my compadre, "It ruins the real thing." Indeed.

Frankly, I'd never bring such a ridiculous suit. (However novel the litigation might be. LOL) The skanky argument that "It's a bar." is a significant hurdle... like, you expect a discussion of Proust? Yes, I remember exactly. It was meant to be intimidating. Seeing right through her, one can merely evaluate it as kookie.

But to have it turned around on account of another loopey transaction with one of the local yobs treating her like a servant and not being supported in the endeavour was shattering. Who's side is she on? Not mine. All I said was, "You're gone." I.e., out of my life. I do not need this. It's insane.

What do you expect? It's a bar.

Maybe it's a class thing. I mean, aside from the humiliation, one does have to consider the milieu and a conscientious desire for a more refined opportunity toward cultivating a friendship. It was all happenstance. Compassion. Delusion. Confusion. She fascinated me. I couldn't see her as a wench. Insane

Well, hey, I did offer to talk about all this with her - over a gyro! She begged off. Avoided the issue. It was all a game. I'm just another sucker. Harumph. Deeply troubling. Impacts my dignity. Way it is. Play the game and don't expect it to be real... whats your problem?

Sorry. Just not accustomed to it. Have always been deadly serious. You can't say I don't discount comic relief, but it's very difficult. Writing this up simply goes to that objective. Towards relief. (None is proffered otherwise.) Nothing personal; an academic exercise. Schizophrenia is managable.
