Just stepped outside. We do need rain.
Well, figure I'll go to Bible study tonight.
Nehemiah? Rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem.
The pastor is out of town; evidently they're still in Ezra but a guest speaker this evening. Pursuent to Ephesians 1:11-12, he gave a talk about Martin Luther relative to commemoration of Reformation activities. Interesting review. Most pertinent was how Luther himself denounced 'heretics' with regard to The Lord's Supper and baptism.
He didn't go much into it. I basically see it as Luther still being enthralled of mysticism when it comes to transmission of grace rather than the practical common sense appreciation and application of the respective ordinances, so to speak, closely following instruction to the best of our God-given ability instead of a sort of oracle to be interpreted by priests crafting a theatrical occupation. Um jus' sayin'... no credentials - sorry.
Then again, you want to assemble something out of the box? Reading the instructions advised, eh? (We knew that.) Ephesians 4:11-16.
